The match held between Dallas Mavericks and Utah jazz ended in a victory for the Jazz with a score of 123-121. The best performers of the game, from both the teams were Jefferson from the winning team and Nowitzki from the other. Jefferson himself scored 28 points fro his team and fueled the victory of his team.
After the match, Jefferson in his speech said, “We are trying our best to win all the upcoming games and we are going to fight for victory till the end”. On the other hand, the Dallas team faced another loss just like their previous match with Los Angeles Lakers.
The coach of the Dallas team mentioned in his speech, “It was very disheartening to see my team lose. But now we are looking forward to the other upcoming matches and give our best efforts to compete and win games”.† He also said that the players of the team must let past the trifles and silly issues.
On winning the match, Utah at last got past their long drought of victory. They have been losing seven consecutive matches but this win ensured their presence in the competition. Dirk Nowitzki of Dallas attained 40 points and 9 rebounds, but failed to aid his team to victory in the extra period.
Jefferson added in his speech, “We played pretty impressive during the overtime and took the advantage of the other team as their players were out of energy during that vital period”. Again he said, “Since they played a match last day, even though they are more experienced, we were sure that we can outrun them”.
Utah Jazz started well with a lead of 11 points. There were overtimes in the game when Utah maintained their upper hand on the Dallas Mavericks. At the near end of the game, Jefferson blocked shit by Mahinmi from the Dallas team and also hit a jumper himself.
Nowitzki mentioned in the interview, “the crowd was very cooperative and we it was a well fought match. We had a lot of chances to win but things went wrong at the end and we lost”. Nowitzki also talked about DeMarre Carroll and expressed his liking for the player by saying, “he is an excellent defender and I have always respected him as a player even if we belong to rival teams”.
Utah Jazz’s coach Tyrone Corbin said after the match that the win was expected and well delivered. He also expressed his appreciation for Jeffersonís hunger for good performance.
