Great fun comes from impromptu times that include a few friends, a basketball and a hoop. However, many people aren’t lucky enough to have the space outside to accommodate hefty in-ground or portable full sized basketball hoops. Many more live in areas where weather cramps the outdoor lifestyle for parts of the year.

These instances should not curb your ability to enjoy fun physical activity that includes shooting hoops anytime the urge strikes. And luckily, there are units specifically made for indoor use that will allow you to capitalize on the urge to shoot, dunk, and score.

Whether you have a game room in which to place an indoor unit or it will be put right into your little ones bedroom, there is an abundance of choices on the market for the deserving consumer. Let no fan be kept from their favorite game!

Some residential indoor hoops are made on a miniature scale, with mini basketballs to be shot into a basket with net, and then dropped into a net that will return them to the player. Electronic systems keep score so you don’t have to. Many even fold for easy storage when not in use. These are ideal for dorm rooms or bedrooms where space is at a premium.

Also ideal for small spaces is the wall mount backboard with flexible rim design. Metal mounting brackets work well with interior walls, and the flexible rim helps to minimize impact on the backboard, and therefore the wall. These units have backboards that measure anywhere from 18″ W x 12″ H to 24″ W x 16″ H, and rims that work with mini basketballs from 4 1/2″ to 7″ in Diameter. An acrylic backboard gives the look of the traditional basketball hoop we all imagine when hearing the term, with the telltale red border in striking contrast with the clear or white background. Working after hours has never been so fun as when you can take breaks and relieve tension by hanging one of these sturdy wall mount units right in your office!

For the recreation centers’ indoor court, portable units with small bases work ideally. There are padded bases to keep everyone safe even when games get competitive. When the slams start flowing and balls start flying, these highly durable units, many with shatter proof backboards, can hold up exceptionally well. And when the game is done, these units fold and roll into their appointed storage place with ease.

Don’t let the weather keep you from racking up the points on the court. Bring America’s favorite game to your own turf with the right indoor hoop!

The “Big Diesel” of 36 years-old and four-time NBA champion, Shaquille O’Neal still has something to offer to the NBA over the next two years.

However since last season, everyone has noticed that his playing game has shrunk little by little and the end of his career has come closer to his life. The “Big Aristotle” announced a while ago to the media that he will retire in two years; to be exact, in 735 days when his contract with the Suns concludes.

Now his expectations are set on helping the Suns to reach the finals and possibly achieve an NBA title, even though he knows his playing time will be reduced so he can be fresh during the whole season, especially if they reach the playoffs.

The “Superman” knows his skills have decreased with the time and that he has more competition now from big guys such as Dwyane Wade, Audrey Bynum, Jermaine O’Neal, Kevin Garnett and more.

Last season with the Suns, Shaquille O’Neal was averaging 12.9 points, 1.2 blocks, 10.6 rebounds and 28.7 minutes per game. These percentages are the lowest Shaq has ever got in his professional career and it is possible that those numbers could drop a little bit more. However even though that “Big Diesel” doesn’t have the same strength and ability of his golden days, he still is someone valuable for the Suns, especially in the paint and at the defending end.

With his last results in the preseason, some people think that Shaq has some gas left in the tank to still make a major impact in the game. And perhaps, Shaq, Stoudemire, Nash and the rest of the Suns can obtain a pair of championships in the time he will still be active.

In the game against the Portland Trail Blazers on last Saturday November the 1st, Shaq combined with Stoudemire ended up with 39 points and 21 rebounds and a good victory for the team. Their next game will be against the New Jersey Nets, in which Shaq will try to do the same for the team with Stoudemire on his side.

On the other hand, Shaq has expressed that his experience all these years in the NBA have been incredible and that it will be sad when he leaves the league. Although, he knows he is still young and that he can do other things in his life.

“I’ve made a lot of friends. I have a lot of opportunities. All I wanted was one championship back in the day. Then I won it, and I got two and then I got three and then four. I’m happy. When I’m done, I’ll have a hell of a book,” said the “Big Diesel”.

During his professional career Shaquille O’Neal’ obtained 4 NBA Championships and an Olympic gold medal. Under his personal belt, he was an All-Star player on 11 occasions, was part of the 50th Anniversary team when he was just 24 years-old, was awarded as MVP of the league in 1999 and 2000 and he was also named 3 times MVP of the finals. Definitely, his achievements have been amazing and will be remembered forever.

Shaquille O’Neal’s after retirement plans could be to become part of the law enforcement and turn into an officer. We hope the best for this amazing, charismatic and talented NBA star, which has made a difference in the history of the NBA.

I have watched most of the Bulls games this season. The highlight for the Bulls is clearly the play of Derrick Rose. Derrick has tremendous speed and can drive to the hoop on most players. Derrick is 6′-3″ so he can get above most guards as he has a 40″ vertical jump. In watching Derrick he has an extra gear when he needs it.

Derrick also can handle the ball equally with both hands. I expect Derrick will show more improvement as his confidence grows. I have great expectations for Derrick and he can become an All-Star and a great player for many seasons for the Bulls.

Derrick does need to improve his defense and he has had too many turnovers. Derrick also needs to improve his outside shot. I am very happy and pleased with his play at the start of the season. Derrick is only 20 and only played one year at Memphis.

I watched the second half of the recent game against Cleveland. The Bulls did not play badly but they could not stop LeBron in the fourth quarter. LeBron scored 41 points and the Bulls could just not stop him. Ben had another good scoring game with 29 points.

The biggest problem for the Bulls was stated clearly by Kenny Smith on TNT. The Bulls do not have a low post option so they cannot throw the ball down in the low post. This lack of a double option prevents a two man game which most teams can play. The Bulls do not have someone to attack the hoop and then pass the ball back outside for an open shot.

The Bulls are not consistent with their offense. They still take too many jump shots and fail to take the ball to the basket and get to the foul line. Derrick is our only player who can draw the defense to him when he drives to the basket. The Bulls are still one of the worst shooting team in the league. The Bulls miss far too many open shots.

The Bulls have now lost Captain Kirk for up to 3 months which will hurt the team. Kirk is not consistent every night but he can run the offense and hit some outside shots. Our best shooter is clearly Ben Gordon but he is undersized and his defense is not very good.

The Bulls gave Luol Deng a new contract and his play has been inconsistent. I believe that Luol has a lot of skill and he needs to be more aggressive. He can shot the outside jumper and he can drive to the basket. We need more from Luol on the offensive end.

I am happy with the play of Drew Gooden as he plays hard and does a good job on the board. Drew can score but he does not have a good low post game. I am very disappointed with the poor shooting of Tyrus Thomas. He can play good defense and rebound and block some shots but he is inconsistent.

As for the center position we cannot expect to be successful playing an undersized Drew Gooden. We are not getting much out of Joakim Noah and he has no shot. He can play defense and rebound but he is only a decent backup in my opinion. As for Aaron Gray he is just too slow in all aspects of the game.

I am hoping that Larry Hughes can give us some scoring when he returns from his injury. Thabo should go back to the bench as his shooting is very poor. I am happy with the play of Noch off the bench. He can score when he is hot and hit the 3 point shot. He also plays hard and does a good job on defense.

I do not expect the Bulls to make the playoffs this year. I am expecting them to win something in the range of 35 games. The Bulls should be in the draft lottery again next year and we need to draft a post player. I am disappointed that the Bulls have not made a trade.

The Bulls should have made a trade during the off season. It may be difficult to make a deal now but we should still try. The failure to make the Gasol trade last year was a mistake. We know that Jerry rejected the deal because of having to pay a luxury tax. I feel that Jerry has always been more interested in money than in winning and spending some money.

I also place blame on Paxson as most of his picks are a disappointment. The Bulls need to make some changes next year if they want to compete and get back to the playoffs. The upcoming West Coast road trip is likely to be a disaster for the Bulls. I hope I am wrong but I am afraid this will be a long season for Bulls fans.

Many of the anticipated changes, improvements, and additions made for NCAA Basketball 09 can be experienced in its Dynasty Mode, a favorite method of playing for most, if not all, players. One such feature is the open roster sharing option.

Free Public File Sharing

In NCAA Basketball 09, players are not only entitled to create their own teams in dynasty mode, but they can also make legitimate use of named rosters. You have the choice of making your team entirely realistic…or fantastic. After that, let the games begin!

How to Download Rosters for NCAA Basketball 09

There are two ways to download rosters for your game. You can do it the hard but cost-free way by manually downloading them to your console. If, however, the process gets too technical then you could always order a pre-loaded roster online.

Many websites offer such services and when you’ve chosen which website to offer from, you can either mail them your memory card or USB flash drive. Afterwards, they’ll load your preferred roster into the device and ship it back to you.

How to Choose the Right NCAA Basketball 09 Roster Service Provider

Consider the factors below when searching for the ideal website to order your NCAA Basketball 09 roster from.

Resources

It’s important to know the source of the information their roster choices are based on. You need to verify these sources to ensure that you get your money’s worth. If they’re unwilling to let you know about their resources, there’s a good chance you’re about to be a victim of a scam.

Clearly Stated Conditions

A legitimate roster service website isn’t afraid of providing information of how their services work. They’ll let you up front how much you’ll be charged with for the kind of services you’re after. They have contingency plans to offer in the event that a glitch comes up in your transaction. Certainly, they show proof that they’re a licensed business and with valid contact details.

Terms of Payment

When will you be required to make a payment? What are the payment options available? What kind of security do they offer to ensure that you’ll procure the merchandise or services you’ve availed of?

Customer Service

Is there a FAQ page available? How do you contact them for inquiries and concerns? Do they offer round the clock customer and technical support?

Reputation

Lastly, it’s best to search for a well-established company. Read testimonials and reviews to determine the ideal NCAA Basketball 09 roster service provider for you.

Playing NCAA Basketball 09 will be more fun if you have downloaded the most accurate NCAA Basketball 09 rosters. Learn what your options are

The Detroit Pistons continued their dominance of the eastern conference, by sweeping the Orlando Magic, and Lebron James’ squad, the Cleveland Cavaliers also swept the Gilbert-less Washington Wizards. The Western Conference is heating up tremendously between teams; from Kobe Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers down 3-1 to former league MVP, Steve Nash’s Phoenix Suns, and the superstar duo of Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony down 3-1 to the tough defensive minded San Antonio Spurs.

I’ve always believed that there is no general blanket type of approach to handicapping sports. Each season in each sport has many different segments to it which dictate the processes and angles I go through to handicap games. The NBA is no different. The beginning of the season is a time when every team wants to get out of the gate quickly and thus puts their best foot forward. Once you get into the season, injuries along with schedule situation have a lot to do with how I view games. Heading out of the All-Star break, certain teams are ready and eager to make a run while others begin to wilt so it’s important to identify individual team mindsets and capabilities. And then of course there is the final 10 game regular season stretch drive where team motivation may be the most important factor of all. And then, we reach the point we’re at now, the post season. How should this time of the NBA year be handicapped? I’ll go through my approach which next to the very beginning of the season is the purest handicapping of any time frame during the near eight month grind.

First off, let me say that as a sports handicapper I believe you need to have a set foundation of where to begin the process off attempting to pick winners against the point spread. For me, that starting point is fundamental. A fundamental handicapper concerns him or herself with the personnel and matchups that are going to take place on the field or floor in a particular game. When the NBA season begins, I feel the fundamentals are at their strongest. You have lineups, matchups and coaching philosophies that you know. This knowledge allows you to make very solid evaluations of what will happen in a game. There are no travel worries because everyone is fresh and eager to play even if it is in a “back to back” or “fourth in five nights” situation. Injury concerns are few and far between immediately out of the gate so you have a good feel for the cohesiveness of personnel. Philosophy adjustments by coaching staffs are not made right away as those take about a third of the season or a major rash of injuries to be implemented. This time of year is where I take the purest fundamental handicapping approach because there just isn’t much else, early on, to complicate things. I keep a strong set of home and away power ratings which allow me to gauge line value and handicap games along with totals based on fundamentals and where I perceive there to be pointspread advantages. I also begin to develop each team’s back to back power rating which comes into play later on.

The playoffs are almost a carbon copy of the season’s beginning because we have complete knowledge of the starting lineups and rotations, plus we know the team’s strengths & weaknesses along with the style philosophies of each head coach. Simple, pure, fundamental, just the way I prefer to handicap. Take a look at the personnel on the floor, the matchups and seek any line value I feel I can capitalize on whether it be side or total. Because of the extended time frame between games in the playoffs there are no fatigue or scheduling concerns like there are during the regular season. Injuries only need to be factored in if they occur during the post season. Motivation and focus are easy to gauge as each side, for the most part, comes to win every game.

The only general situational handicap applied in the post season is the ever popular “zig-zag” theory which, simply put, suggests that a team down 1 game to none and on their home floor is in an absolute must win spot and therefore becomes a mechanical type play. The problem with the zig-zag in recent years is that the oddsmakers are just as aware as the betting public is of this situation and they subsequently pad the line toward the team in need which extracts almost all of the value. There are certain series situations that will come into play each post season but I always analyze these on an individual basis and never create a blanket type rule to follow.

We’ll hear a thousand times between now and the end of the playoffs about how defenses show up for the post season and the intensity increases which subsequently makes the “unders” on playoff game an immediate place to look if you intend on having bankroll success over these next six weeks. Again, that is purely a general theory applied by many who feel they have some great advantage playing the under. The fact of the matter is this theory will apply in some games and in some series but it won’t apply at all in others. One more time, the linesmaker is fully aware of this short sighted generic theory and they will in many cases decrease their opening numbers on totals which eats up the value a lot of people would like you to believe is there. I have always firmly believed that you handicap each game as an individual entity and the NBA Playoffs are no different.

In all, the NBA playoffs are as true a set of games as we see all season and with my personal handicapping theories in tow, I’ll begin my assault on the lines this Saturday. Off of a phenomenal regular season, I look to continue that right through this postseason and make the entire 2006-’07 campaign a memorable one. Good luck to everyone who ventures into the NBA ’s crowning time of year and I hope all of your plays are profitable ones.
