Parker leads Spurs to 13th straight win (AP)If the San Antonio Spurs were the forgotten team in the Western Conference race earlier this season, there is no overlooking them now. The Spurs won their 13th straight Tuesday night, beating the Los Angeles Clippers 93-84. They haven’t lost since Feb. 11. “Thirteen games ago, we didn’t say we needed to win 13 in a row to get back into this thing,” said Tim Duncan.

James sits but Cavs win sixth straight (AP)Apparently fear is what makes the Cleveland Cavaliers play so well without LeBron James. Sasha Pavlovic scored a career-high 25 points and Larry Hughes added 25 to lead Cleveland to a season-high sixth straight victory, 124-100 over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. James was a late scratch from the lineup because of back spasms.

Pistons stay perfect on trip, top Sonics (AP)Hitting the road was the perfect remedy for the Detroit Pistons. They are rediscovering their swagger with the playoffs a little more than a month away, and Chris Webber is rapidly developing into an offensive threat again. Webber scored 24 points, his best offensive night since joining Detroit, and the Pistons held off a late rally for a 101-97 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Tuesday…

Walker rallies Heat past Jazz 88-86 (AP)Antoine Walker hit a long 3-pointer in the final minutes, then turned and urged the Miami Heat crowd to calm down. “They get a little antsy sometimes,” Walker said. “But it’s cool. I like it. It’s fun. Makes it more exciting.” In the end, Walker made sure those fans went home happy. He scored all 13 of his points in the final 11 minutes, and the streaking Heat erased a 17-point second-half deficit to…

Thomas, Wallace lead Bulls past Celtics (AP)Ben Wallace and Tyrus Thomas made the Boston Celtics pay for ignoring them. Wallace had 19 points and 16 rebounds, Thomas scored a career-high 23 points, and the Chicago Bulls beat the Celtics 95-87 on Tuesday night. Wallace made nine of a career-high 21 field goal attempts and fell just short of his career best of 22 points.

Carter’s FTs lift Nets over Hornets (AP)Richard Jefferson is back where he wants to be. His team isn’t quite there yet. Jefferson had his best game since returning from ankle surgery, Vince Carter hit the go-ahead free throws with 21 seconds left, and the New Jersey Nets beat the New Orleans Hornets 112-108 on Tuesday night to move into a tie for one of the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.
