The All-Star forward earned the honor Monday after averaging 30.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.3 steals while leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 2-1 record last week.
On Friday, James collected 27 points, nine rebounds, five assists and six steals against Portland, becoming the first player in the league to put up those numbers in a game since Jason Kidd on January 20, 2003.
James, who won the award for the sixth time in his career, joins Gilbert Arena, Elton Brand, Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson as the only players in the league to win the honor at least three times this season.
Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony earned the Western Conference honor after averaging a league-best 31.8 points on 58 percent shooting.
Anthony nailed his fourth game-winning shot of the season to defeat the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, 101-99.
